It is not easy to quit smoking weed, but there are some things you can do to increase your chances of quitting for good.
Set a date for quitting and prepare for it.
Get yourself ready. Maybe try to taper down your smoking as you lead up to the date. Get yourself a quit marijuana program to follow. Get an exercise program to follow. Get a detox kit to help you through withdrawal.
Be prepared for the withdrawal symptoms.
Know you are going to feel anxious and irritable and know that it will pass in time. Have a schedule of things to do during the first few weeks. Always have some gum with you and take a hot shower when it gets to be overwhelming. It also helps to brush your teeth when you have a craving.
Tell your friends and family you are quitting.
They can provide you with support and by telling someone else you are more likely to follow through.
Get rid of all of your paraphernalia.
Don’t have any stash or papers, bongs, pipes etc. in your house. This is a must.
Don’t hang out with you stoner friends while you are trying to quit.
Take time away from the crowd you smoke with and have a new schedule of activities for the first month of quitting.
Start an exercise program.
An exercise program is needed to keep you busy and build a new schedule around this instead of smoking. It will also help you with the insomnia and the loss of appetite caused by withdrawal. Breathing exercises are also recommended and yoga is good for your anxiety. Take a walk if you get overwhelming cravings. With exercise you will feel better sooner.
Use a detoxification kit.
This will speed up the elimination of the THC and its metabolites that have built up in your bodies fat cells. This will make the withdrawal more comfortable.
Use a quit marijuana program.

Save the money out that would have gone to buying weed.
Put aside the same amount of money as you would normally spend on marijuana. After two months, buy yourself something nice.
Drink lots of liquids.
By drinking a lot of fluid you will help your body detox. Cranberry juice is especially effective, but all juices will help you get needed nutrients, during your loss of appetite te during the first week.
